With our precision slitting capabilities, quality control and experienced staff, MidWest Materials is able to provide a variety of steel slitting services to our customers.
 

Cincinnati Slitter (3/16" x 72")

  • 60,000 lb. inbound and outbound coil capacity (HR, HRPO, CR, Coated)
  • Slits up to 22 cuts of .019” through .060" at 72" wide or 14 cuts of .060" through .198" at 72" wide
  • Provides a 20" inside diameter and up to a 72" maximum outside diameter
  • Provides a 24” inside diameter on rewinds only
  • Data Measurement Gauger records material thickness for the entire length and width of the coil
  • Features a free-loop, self-driven slitter head system that allows us to slit a constant 900 feet per minute reducing camber, wavy edges and burs, resulting in a high quality, uniform slit product
  • Pneumatic tension-wipe station helps to remove excess oil and prepares tight, flat-walled coils

Terminal Slitter (1/4" x 50")

  • 50,000 lb. inbound and outbound coil capacity (HR, HRPO, CR)
  • Slits up to 6 cuts of .265" at 50" wide or 10 cuts of
    .265" at 36" wide
  • Tooling is set up to accommodate a wide range of grades
    up to and including HSLA Grade 80
  • Capable of  20" and 24” inside diameters and up to a
    72" maximum outside diameter
